Dora Alexiadou / violin
She was born in Thessaloniki,Greece in August 1993 and she received her first violin lessons at the age of 8 with Maria Eklektou. Later she continued her studies with Maria Spanou and Omiros Yavroumis at the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki but also at the Municipal Conservatory of Thermi while in February 2014 she received her Violin Diploma from ''Filipos Nakas'' Conservatory. In June 2016 she graduated from University of Macedonia (Dep.Music Science and Art) where she studied with prof.Dimitris Chandrakis.She received a Bachelor Degree in Classical Music with Violin Specialization.As an Erasmus student she studied at the Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt in Weimar,Germany with prof.Donata Sailer. At the age of 16 she won the first prize at the Greek competition ''Talenta-Vraveia Filona'' as well as the second prize at the International Competition in Volos in 2012.She gave personal recitals twice, once in Thessaloniki, 2013 and once in Florina,2014. Also as a member of a piano quartett, she won the first prize at an internal University competition happened in May 2014. During her study years she participated in many concerts as a soloist, an orchestra member and also as a member of chamber music ensembles. She also worked as a violin teacher at ''Filipos Nakas''Conservatory.She is currently a member of Βouche Fermée and trio eξis. She took part actively at many masterclasses with well-known violinists such as Simos Papanas, Christos Galilaias, Ulf Hölscher, Pierre Amoyal, Angel Stankov, Dimitris Karakantas, George Mandilas, Alberto Martini, Christos Kanettis,Vladimir Mendelssohn, Elio Orio,Anne-Kathrin Lindig, Dr.Rachel Vetter-Huang, Andreas Papanikolaou and more. Currently she studies Baroque violin at the Hochschule für Musik FRANZ LISZT in Weimar with Midori Seiler.

Artemis Vavatsika / accordion |
Artemis Vavatsika was born in Thessaloniki, Greece. She started playing the accordion at a young age and graduated from the "Athenaeum" Conservatory in 2012 with an Accordion Diploma. She studied at the University of Macedonia, Department of Music Science and Art specialized in the accordion under Professor Konstantinos Raptis. She has performed in various festivals (Athens & Epidaurus Festival, Syros Accordion Festival, Summer Nostos Festival etc.) playing different styles of music like classical, baroque, contemporary/modern, cinema and theatre music. She has worked for the National Theatre of Northern Greece and the Greek National Television as an ensemble member. She has collaborated with a number of young Greek composers like Zoe Anagnostou, Stephanos Kemanetzis, Apostolis Koutsogiannis, Myrto Nizami and Filippos Tsalachouris. She has performed with the Sofia Sinfonietta and the Symphony Orchestra of the Department of Music Science and Art as a soloist. She has participated in seminars on Accordion and Alexander Technique, Accordion in Greek Folk Music, Musical Theatre and Improvisation. |
Iro Menegou / piano
Iro Menegou was born in Thessaloniki. She studied piano at the Municipal Conservatory of Thermi with E. Alakiozidou and received her degree with the highest distinction in 2016. She has already completed her studies in advanced theory obtaining diplomas in Harmony, Counterpoint and Fuge and also studied composition and doublebass. She has attended masterclasses in piano, chamber music and advanced theory with various artists including G. Madge, Th. Wellen, L. Thomou, M. Kollarou, V. Kitsos, P. Adam. She has participated in Contemporary Music Festival ''Synthermia'' and was an active member in Contemporary Music Workshop held by IdeeFixe Ensemble.
As a member of ''eξis trio'' (violin, clarinet, piano) which focuses in contemporary music she collaborates with composers presenting first perfomances. She is also a member of the cinematic music ensemble "Bouche Fermee". Iro Menegou has given recitals and participated in music festivals in Greece. She has collaborated with the National Theater of Northern Greece as a musician for the B.Brecht's ''Mutter Courage und Ihre Kinder''. Besides that she has graduated from the Department of Economics of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and she collaborates with the non-profit organization ''beartive'' in the field of cultural management and artistic productions (International Summer Music Academy in Greece, Moni Pau Festival etc). She is currently working at the Municipal Conservatory of Panorama and the Municipal Conservatory of Thermi. She has been selected from the European Music Counsil as a fellow for 2018-2020 |
Alexis Pogrevnois / clarinet |
Alexis Pogrevnois (1990-) born in Thessaloniki, Greece. He studies on a Master program with Mr Ronald van Spaendonck at the Royal Conservatory in Mons, Belgium. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Clarinet Performance from the Ionian University, where he pursued clarinet and bass clarinet performance studies with Yannis Samprovalakis and Chamber music with Pr. Lambis Vasiliadis. He began music studies at the Municipal Conservatory of Stavroupolis-Thessaloniki, Greece, degrees in "Music Harmony" (2006) with Petros Bekiaridis and Clarinet with Fotis Terzis. He graduated from the Music High School of Thessaloniki (2008) having clarinet studies with Stergios Moschogiannis. He has participated in several masterclasses by Ronald van Spaendonck, Spyros Tzekos (principal clarinet in National Opera of Greece), Dimitris Leontzakos, Melos Brass, Idee Fixe, Theofilos Sotiriades, Szatmari Szolt (Hungarian National Philharmonic Orchestra and Liszt Academy of Music). He attended clarinet performance courses with Robert Hill, principal clarinettist in London Philharmonic Orchestra in January 2013. He also attended in Orchestral and Choir conducting workshops by Kostis Papazoglou and Petros Bekiaridis. He was a member of the Youth State Orchestra of Thessaloniki in 2006, co-principal in Camerata Stavroupolis, principal and co-principal in Ionian University Orchestra, and Bass clarinettist in “Big Band Stavroupolis”. He collaborated with the Academica Orchestra of Athens, the Radio Symphony Orchestra of Greece (NERIT), the New Conservatory of Thessaloniki, Woodwind Chamber Orchestra of Stavroupolis, Jazz Ensemble of the Municipal Conservatory of Stavroupolis and Ionian University Orchestra and Contemporary Ensemble. He performed under the baton of Myron Michailidis, Carolos Trikolidis, Byron Fidetzis, Kostis Papazoglou, and Miltos Logiades. In January-February 2013 he was honoured to make his internship in the London Philharmonic Orchestra, performing near Sir Robert Hill and Nicholas Carpenter and educated in wind ensemble performance by Paul Beniston, as well. He works as a freelance (bass) clarinettist and is a member of the BEARTIVE organization.
